Beginning in the middle school, instruction for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students is departmentalized. Teachers are specialists in their subject areas and share their knowledge and insights with their students. Each classroom teacher engenders a sense of exploration and discovery in their respective specialties. Students are challenged to think about issues and concepts in greater detail.
The overall goal of these three years is to create an effective intellectual, emotional, and spiritual bridge between the elementary grades and high school. The teachers encourage independence and responsibility. Students will become active learners and will have ample opportunity through chapel, Bible classes, and Godly role models to cultivate the Biblical and moral principles learned at home and in their local church. The middle school is a safe place to grow.
