The Counseling Department offers a comprehensive, developmental guidance program that provides a systematic approach for helping students acquire and apply basic life skills.
- Counselors work to ensure that the emotional, social, and academic needs of every student in Hartfield Upper School are met.
- Counselors also tracking academic performance and helping students find a path to success and graduation. Counselors administer all standardized testing throughout the school year.
- For Hartfield seniors, the High School Counselor assists students with college applications, sets up college visits and meets with every senior and their parents to plan their final year and ensure graduation requirements are met.
- Counselors also coordinate parenting seminars and speakers to address issues students and parents face in today’s changing world. The counselors work closely with the principals to develop and implement school policy and manage student issues.
